Where's The Math?
Video on TERC and Everyday Math
The parent group "Where's the Math" has just finished making their first video. One of their members, MJ McDermott, Q-13 TV Weather Forecaster, was kind enough to put this together. MJ explains the differences between teaching standard (traditional) algorithms and teaching with Investigations/TERC and Everyday Math, two common reformed math programs used in our state.
This video is a powerful tool that clearly illustrates the differences in teaching methodology and will help parents understand why their students may be struggling with math.
